What kind of clothes did you wear in each chapter of your life and why?


I have a complicated relationship with clothing.
It’s not that it started out that way. I was born and wore typical baby clothes like you see in the photo above.
As I grew older, things got switched up a bit…

As a young boy, I wore the traditional “young boy’s outfit”.

As I grew up, I wanted to be cool so I wore work boots, jeans and a sports team jacket.

As a young teenager, I wanted to be part of the “in crowd” so I dressed the part.

In my late teens, I grew out my hair and wore peace signs.

In my thirties I started my own publishing business and dressed the part.
And then, through a series of surprising events, my taste in clothing changed…


I discovered women’s fashion and realized that I was meant for more in life than drab men’s clothing. This is the current chapter in my life.

First, “boobs” is slang and offensive to many women . If you want to design bras for women customers, the proper word is “breast” and sewing patterns for clothing like blouses and dresses speak in terms of the “bust” and “chest" measurements. I am going to assume that you do not mean to offend and that perhaps English is not your first language, but please be aware particularly if you are male that many women are uncomfortable speaking about undergarments to men or any strangers and saying “boobs” and other slang words for body parts can mark you as unprofessional and cost you business. You can search online for “how to measure for sewing” and find forms to fill in using the proper terms in English for men and women for different types of clothing. Padding in the bra cup is not a primary consideration to whether the design of the cups is properly   shaped  and  supportive  enough   to hold the breasts in a good position in combination with the straps. ...

Why don't all women wear stockings?

Stockings had ruled the fashion industry for decades and it was known as a compulsory part of women dressing. Have you ever slipped off your high heels while wearing pantyhose/stockings?

Ummm ya…Like, who doesn’t?? I hate these ambiguous, wide open, types of queries. My initial reaction is to just write, ‘duh !!’. Why do I get the sense (yet again) that this question has been formulated by some dude with a questionable agenda, that includes a personal sexual fantasy incorporating the elements of pantyhose , feet, toes, shoes , and similar details that pertain to a particular predilection? Am I wrong, girls?? C’mon, really! ?? Why has this particular subject of interest within Quora degenerated to the extent that the majority of questions related to hosiery , shoes, legs, or other body parts including feet, become such a fetish driven community?
